To prepare, he simulates space conditions underwater, as the underwater environment mirrors space. Lee becomes a certified diver to experience low gravity and survival conditions similar to space. He shares his scuba diving experiences, including overcoming hypothermia and using creative solutions like wearing women's thermal clothing to stay warm. Lee also addresses the challenge of food production by building a lunar camp with teammates, growing plants like cacao beans underwater to simulate a lunar farm. He uses these beans to make coffee, which, despite its taste, symbolizes hope for future space endeavors. His project is recognized in the Moon Camp Design Challenge by the European Space Agency. Additionally, Lee and his team successfully conduct underwater dives with animals, envisioning a future where space supports human, animal, and plant life.
